The weather is finally getting cooler, but be careful, this is the only dog park in Maricopa county where I have seen ticks on a dog. I asked the owner about it and the lady thought it was just part of the tumors on her elderly pet. Please shampoo your pets after playing in the lake. My dog brought home and unwanted guest and we haven’t been back to a single dog park since. Sad day.

Really a park for big dogs only. Little dogs at risk. Won't go again.
This Girl Needs Jesus
Highly recommend!! It had everything to keep my girls and pup happy for a couple hours of play.. there was security on the grounds and all was beautifully maintained!

They have 3 dog areas. A basic agility area. One for shy or anxious dogs and a pond area for swimming.

1) yes they can swim 2) it's pretty clean. Sometimes they'll b a algae by the shoreline area 3) My dogs n friends dog have been swimming their for about 18months never have gotten sick
The lake division of the park is surrounded by sand so no mud, if they happen to step in mud on their way to the park there are designated rinse off areas for the dogs free of charge.
Many dogs have gotten sick because of the water
Yes,. They have a spray area by the lake
No cost to use. Part of the pond is. But the dog could potentially swim to the other side and get out. It's a long swim though.
Standard dog park rules. Clean up after your dog, be respectful and have fun!
It's closed now for a few days
No, the water is not meant for humans to swim. However, I did step into it with my shoes in order to encourage my dog.
Yes, we went about a week ago or so and it finally was reopened.
Yes, but the pond area is closed for construction. The large dog park behind it and the small dog park are still operating at normal hours.
No
Don't know. Suggest you call the City of Gilbert and ask.
There's a section for smaller dogs, so that's an option. I've been taking my dog after 9pm and the park is mostly empty then but still well lit.
Open to all, but the County does require pet license.
At certain times, the algae cuts loose...that's just how it is with man made parks that allow dogs in them. Certain chemicals are not allowed to be used to kill the algae..... but it is the beginning of August 2019 and the end of July the water was very clean you could pretty much see the bottom out about 15 ft
There are a couple of different areas that are fenced off for the dogs to run off leash. There is also additional space in the park where dogs must be on leash while visiting.
The section of the dog park with the lake is NOT fully fenced in. If your dog can swim far enough out they can swim to the section not fenced in and perhaps jump out. They do offer sections that are fully fenced
I believe its done in parts!
Yes
Yes
Yes it is open today and tomorrow
Over I believe 3 or 6 months and has its shots not aggressive however there was storm damage and as of yesterday still wasnt open
I have no idea regarding your question about bacterial count, lepto, Ecoli, and giardiasis. Perhaps a call to Gilbert Parks and Recreation department may answer. The water does grow quite a bit of algea during the warm months.
Wont change a thing for myself
There's no signs that you can't but I don't recommend it
