Cascade River State Park

This was one of my favorite state parks on North Shore, not as busy with more challenging trails but worth it. The falls and cascades are beautiful and the hike to Lookout Mountain is totally worth it.

We stayed at Cascade River Lodge, hiked right from there into the state park. Didn't Lookout loop first. Nice to get the harderpart down first. Beautiful views at the stop. Seen a deer drinking in the river. The falls was breathtaking!

We loved our hike up to the falls here. Something about hiking along flowing water always has me so happy and energized. This was a nice easy hike. Was not crowded at all and was very scenic the whole way. I would love to explore this area more in the future.

It was a beautiful trail, however signage was a bit iffy. We never really found the loop part of the hikers club trail because we didn’t see any sign indicating where the rest of it was after the look out point. We kept heading west, but eventually turned around. Also not very certain as to where the arrows are pointing, or lack of arrows. There was one point where we followed the hikers club arrows and we ended up out of the state park, and we turned around at that point as well. But other than that it was pretty.
