My family and I loved it here, so glad we got to experience it. It can be a bit pricey, but definitely worth it! The view, hiking trails and staff are really nice.

Definitely one of the best ski resorts in the Midwest! Tons of natural terrain that is fun to ride. Way more mountain than I could explore in one day. Park is nothing special, but I'm not disappointed because that's not what I went for. Also a few flat areas that I had to walk a bit more than what I'm used to. Trails are also a bit confusing to figure out at first when going between mountains. High speed chairlift and gondola are great! Overall I'd definitely recommend going here if you live in the Midwest.

Absolutely loved this ski area. Lots of fun for all different skill levels. And plenty of runs for beginners. Highly recommend!

I came for the views and the Alpine slide and was not disappointed! The gondola was a comfortable smooth enjoyable ride above the mountains. Then the chairlift took me to the Alpine slide and I quickly breezed down the mountain in excitement. There was a cafe at the top of the mountain and a gift shop at the bottom. Great place for the summer, and looks like great slopes for the winter.

I love Lutsen Resort right on the lake but Caribou Highlands is closer to the ski slopes and very nice as well...
Not close enough, unfortunately. Lutsen used to have tubing, but it was very limited. I believe that Giant's Ridge would be the closest, then Spirit Mountain in Duluth.
Lutsen Recreation is located just down the hill from Lutsen ski hill. Reasonably priced and convenient. https://lutsenrec.com/
Caribou Highlands is closest to the access trail to Moose Mt. Eagle Ridge has more rooms closer to the runs with direct access to River Run. If you want to base in your room and ski in and out for lunch etc I'd rent at Eagle Ridge. If you want to be the first to Moose and aren't planning to go in and out of the room often Caribou Highlands. P.S. the pool at Eagle Ridge is in a different building. Keep that in mind If that matters to you.
No, we do not allow Crock-Pots in our chalets.
