Overall excellent boutique hotel. Great repurposing of architectural building. Quaint and comfortable. Rooms a little cold due to high ceilings, only blinds, and original office purpose, but overcomes with history and fabulous bathroom. Only complaint was breakfast was late. But made up for it with fresh cooked food and super great variety. Will return.

Best hotel bed we have stayed on. Just an amazing unique place. There was an overall serene and peaceful energy throughout that building. We didn't want to leave and we are home bodies. The staff were great and very friendly. Stayed on 6th floor next to the elevator and you could not hear a thing from outside the room.

Pros - The rooms were clean and cozy. Loved the historical character that has come from the redevelopment to a hotel. It is in a great location - many restaurants within a 10 minute walk, the train is right next to it, and close to the river. Booked my room online and reception was a breeze. Super friendly staff as well. Cons - You must climb a flight of stairs to enter through the front entrance to get to reception. There is a side entrance that is a bit more accessible - just further from reception. There is minimal parking in the front of the hotel for checking in. Paid parking is offered down the street.

If you are visiting downtown St. Paul for an evening or staying the night, the Celeste is the place to be. The bar is warm and inviting with plenty of seating, including two semi-private rooms. The bartenders are knowledgeable and craft a variety of delicious and inventive drinks. The bar also offers a small, but delectable sampling of food. If you're staying the night, this is the place you want to be. The rooms are clean and charmingly appointed. Try to book a room with a capital view as it is splendid at night. Breakfast is tasty and ample and served in the chapel until 10.
