Registered and attended the bugs summer camp over the summer for a week. After a questionable incident in which our child was restrained was politely told not to attend any future sessions.

Fun place. Needs some upgrading in facilities and exhibits. Great fragrance garden. Would be nice if the garden was labeled and you didn't have to go to the main desk for the map.

Yes, indeed! Toddlers will be fascinated with the hands-on exhibits on the 3rd floor. Enrique: This is the best time to introduce to the wonders of science & the universe. Good luck!
Their artifacts consist of mostly local, and locally native cultures. I am not aware of any exhibits that focus on Southern Asia Edit: They have Native American artifacts. Your question is very confusing if you are trying to reference Native Americans (ie. The Iriqouis)

Nope, no advanced tickets are necessary for the RMSC Museum & Science Center. :) If you're planning to attend a show at the RMSC Strasenburgh Planetarium, we do recommend getting tickets in advance simply because shows tend to sell out. However, we do offer tickets at the door if there are any seats left.
It sure is
No, the only things to purchase here are from the gift shop which are all new items. The Strong museum has some vintage computers, but you cannot purchase those either since they're part of the museum.
The collections contains many Rochester Button Factory buttons, but they are not currently on display. Look for opportunities to see a Behind the Scenes Collection Tour, or, if you are planning to conduct research, give them a call to make an appointment.
no the i know
Hey there! Glad you asked. We have special events going on all week for the Lunar Landing celebration. We also have a new Planetarium show called the Eagle has Landed that is an immersive experience that "lands" you on the moon in the lunar lander. Check it all out here: rmsc.org/lunarliftoff.

Wildlife Rockstars. They are awesome!
Most of the exhibits and almost all of the many school children tours are science related. Science exhibits cover a very wide range - from mastodon skeleton to a first class planetarium. The museum also sponsors a series of science lectures each year for adults. These lectures are diverse and presented by notable experts in their respective fields. The museum used to have many history exhibits, but only a few related to Rochester remain - mostly in the top floor .
Yes they can look it up at the front desk.
