Beautiful scenery with nice views of both Lake Durand & Lake Ontario. Great place to go for a walk and enjoy the outdoors. It isn’t too busy especially in the mornings. The park is very quiet and peaceful. Great place to be visit, and isn’t too far from Rochester.

Durand Eastman park and beach is lovely!! I've been going for several years with my family and we love it. The beach and water are clean and well maintained. Every few years, however, the silver fish wash up onto the beaches in June. But the maintanence crew does a good job cleaning it up. Its just a thing of nature and can't be avoided, so no use in getting upset about it! I love that this beach is a sandy beach. There are pebbles and small stones near shoreline. Not rockey at all, like Hamlin can be. There's also shade at this beach, so you can set up on the beach in the shade or in the sun. There is plenty of room at this beach too so you're never on top of one another. The best time to visit this beach is during the week during the day. Weekends get crowded and less-than-desirable "activities" for families.... There are lovely walking trails and hiking all over Durand. Plus pretty ponds with herons. This area is a gem!!!

Many may drive by but sometimes you have to get out and actually see the beach line up coast. One of the best parks on this side of NY state..
