Beautiful little park with a river and trails.

It was a hidden gem. We discovered this on our way to the independent pass and we decided to make a stop. It was certainly a great decision. A few wonderful views of the white water river rapids is just few minutes o walk.

It's a beautiful trail with the Ice Caves and the Roaring Fork River (and pools you can jump into--but it's really cold!) but it's going traffic and it's not marked very well--i suppose that encourages adventure though. Parking is a nightmare so you'll need to arrive well before 9.

Walking trough the ice caves is breath taking, seriously, my brother slipped on ice and landed on his chest. Took him three minutes to get breathing back to normal. Even after that he still said the caves beauty was worth it, I agree.
