Used to go as a kid back about 30 years ago. Really happy it's still here for my kids to now experience.

I made reservations to visit, but it was going to be raining that night, so I cancelled (this was for 4 people). I haven't seen a credit on my account? Please advise.

For weather circumstances and such they will give you a voucher to come back again free of charge for however many were in your party. I'm not sure if they refund as well. The night that we went it was too windy and cloudy to see anything. The telescope was not able to be used due to the wind. They did give us the voucher to come back. They also answered all questions and showed us around etc.

are their lil spots we can park outside the area to view the stars

Yes there is.

Do we need to make reservations to come to the Observatory? How do we do it? What is the cost ? January

David Snodderley | Oct 17, 2021

Yes they're doing reservations because of covid-19. You go online to their website. It costs about $8 and you can pay for it all on the website and I think it's about 1 week to 2 weeks out is when you make your reservations

Procedure for making reservations?

The website makes it easy and the people are great, very helpful.

Any special events/viewing connected with comet Neowise? Or specific suggestions on where to observe?

Richard Carlisle | Oct 17, 2020
Joe Cross | Oct 17, 2020

The observatory is closed due to the virus. However it's nice and dark and a good place to look. Better get up there soon. The comet is dimming quickly.

What is admission price?

Tom Carpenter | Oct 18, 2018
Esther Lusk | Oct 18, 2018

It depends on whether you're coming as an individual or bringing children with you. Family rates are a better value. $8 adults & teens/$4 youth/$0 small children/$20 family. Bring cash. They do have a square reader, but I recall a very small transaction fee. It's so worth it, though!
