If you are new here enjoy, but if you live here more than a year the office does not respond, give answers or solve any issues. We renewed in July and have sent countless maintenance request only to fall on def ears. We emailed the manager with photos and nothing. Renovating new apartments is their highest priority but if you already pay rent you don’t matter. They up the rent every year , force trash valet which is late and sometimes doesn’t even pick up the trash. And if you complain - you get apologies with no change. Below are photos of their repairs, these have been left this way for over 2 months. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. UPDATE: We left almost two months ago and have yet to receive our security deposit. Cannot wait to be rid and finished with this company.

We've been living here a year and so far we love it. The guys from Maintenance don't take more than 2 days to fix something. They do a great job.

I lived here 2 years and so far all my experiences have been positive. the staff and neighbors were friendly. It's also one of the quietest apartment buildings I've ever lived in. Keep up the good work!

I've lived here since it was Hillside Forest, and it was great when it was Hillside Forest. The Ascent "Luxury Apartments" is awful. They're getting too big for their britches with this "luxury apartment" business- try making your apartments livable, first. My air conditioning and my dishwasher have been broken since 2020. AC constantly goes out. Maintenance will come over and push the reset button or reset the breaker, rather than actually figuring out what is WRONG with the appliance. They promised to have an HVAC specialist come look at it, but that never happened. Dishwasher takes 2-3 washes to clean and leaves gross food chunks on the dishes, probably because it's full of debris, probably from the previous tenants or even the tenants before that. I've asked maintenance several times to fix it because 1) I don't know how to do it myself, and 2) I don't want to take it apart incorrectly and break something, and 3) I shouldn't have to. Maintenance said something along the lines of "I hate doing that" and didn't fix it. Yes I know that apartments are livable without AC and a dishwasher, but I specifically pay for them in my lease so it's annoying and frustrating. If they're not going to fix the appliances that they advertise, they should lower the rent. Landscaping is sloppy and apathetic. They pay a lot of attention to the stupid gazebo project, but then don't tend to the rest of the apartment complex. A year or two ago they stuck some overcrowded hydrangeas and tall grasses into each residents individual gardening plots without asking if they wanted them, and then didn't even water them in, so they died immediately. Plants have been finicky and fragile ever since, no matter how much I try to help them. They also don't pay attention to trash on the grounds- I usually take a trash bag or two on my walks and pick up as I go, just because it annoys me so much to see it in my supposedly "luxury" apartment complex (hey, they should knock the value of my labor off my rent!) Speaking of landscaping, whatever snowplow service they hire is awful. They've piled snow behind either mine or my roommates car for the past two winters now, creating a hardened, compact mess that we couldn't get out of until it melted, resulting in having to call in to work. They also pushed the curb stop over the front garden, completely decimating half of it and making an ugly, immovable mess. I could go on and on, but it really sums up to: them cutting corners while trying to advertise their apartments as "luxury."

Questions & Answers

how is the lease breaking experience here?

Please don't quote me as they have been management, but based off my property management experience, "most" communities will allow you to submit a 30 day NTV with a break lease fee that equals 2 months. Please refer to the properties website or just call them. How this helps! 😊😉

I understand your property was recently acquired by Village Green. I have a client who applied for an apt and was confirmed to move this weekend. They are now being told to re-apply. Why is this?

The new company wanted no parts of how the old company operated. They even let go of the entire. Sorry this happened. I know who the person is tell them the old leasing employee saids sorry...
