The spot we had was perfect. We had shade 90% of the day. The river was just across the road. Vaulted toilets were decent, water spigot was close to camp site.

Updated: We went again this year. Still love this campground but please be aware that there are black bears in the area!! We had one come through our site all weekend and were super surprised when we went to throw our trash away and everyone had left their trash on the side of the trash bins instead of putting them INSIDE the empty bin! BE RESPONSIBLE CAMPERS PLEASE and throw your trash away properly to avoid issues with bears. Great campground. Loop A has the best spots for shade. Easy access to the river. Camp hosts were wonderful and we enjoyed our stay. Will return.

We love this campground! Today we did spot 55 and it was nice and secluded from everyone, at the end of all the sites. We had a cool tree that had fallen with a trunk that the kids loved to climb. Update: We were at campground A17 and it was the worst one on the site. We now know why no one took it! There was no shade, and hardly a place to park. Please see pics to decide if it's worth your money. It wasn't to us! The only good thing is that it was close to restrooms.

Really nice place where you can totally be "alone" without seeing another campground. It's great plus cement pads with pavilions and large picnic table, and nice fire pits at each camp spot. Was a little pricey if you ask me $25/night. There are toilets available and non potable water... no camper or rv hookups of any kind.

Cash or check - onsite or card online. I did cash. The site tells you who to make the check out too.
Pretty sure it's at 11
There is a sign posted "NO ATV's" as you enter (40.0720,-111.4303). We stayed 2 days and did not see any ATV's coming or going.
Yes they do. Many people bring dogs so for everyone's safety and park rules there is a leash rule.
Yes! It is $9 per extra vehicle per night.
T-Mobile is sporadic... Texts usually go through within 5 minutes of sending or receiving
Sorry phone doesn't work in campground. Host came to town and recieved.
The snow is long gone. It's only a little over 5000 ft, so not much different than Utah or Salt Lake valleys. We were there a few weeks ago for mother's Day and there were plenty of kids camping, including ours.
I never camped at the group site we usually go in further we're definitely is no power I would take a generator but then again like I said I haven't camped there
I was just up there and the campground is good. It's actually very pretty in the burn zone right now. Stark contrast of burned trees and super green grass.
Most of the ones on the inside of the road loop should be fully shaded.
Yes, they have one loop open now. The rest are still covered with too much snow.
Really bad...
I would like to know also, please
Yes and no. When hiking they're obviously roaming around, but doesnt mean you'll run into one. My husband and I saw a snake up three forks trail, aka fifth waters trail and hotsprings and was warned about a rattler on the way down. Youll less likely see them in campgrounds but still a possibility, should never exclude that cause they could very well seek the warmth.
Where can I make a reservation? Is there a phone number?
