First off I usually don’t write posts or reviews. Personally I believe that the company takes the bad reviews down and keeps the good ones. Why do I feel this way? Because of my past three days camping there. I read all good reviews and chose this campsite. My girlfriend and I know the area and no a few people that have been there. So not only did I read the reviews I took others advice. With that being said I’ll get started. I had my girlfriend reserve three days camping there and by doing that we had to give them our credit card so if we canceled they would keep the $37 that’s what I was told. I have no problem with that at all. I completely understand. With that being said we got there to check in she rang us up and then proceeded to tell me that there was construction across the street from where we were staying. I’m a very patient man and didn’t say anything set up camp and for three days was miserable. All we heard was their equipment running from 7:30 in the morning until 6 o’clock at night. Unacceptable in my eyes. When she rang me up she could have told me before she charge me before not after. The second day at 5 o’clock I was going to go up and say something but the office was closed everyone was gone. I understand you can’t make everybody happy but when the staff would drive by they could clearly see how unhappy I was they would wave and keep going. The staff and all was very professional the wildlife is amazing and there’s great fishing. But personally I should’ve been told before she rang me up to consider moving spots. I wasn’t happy about that part of it all. Secondly why would you have a spot directly across a construction zone available? During the week Monday Tuesday and Wednesday campground was almost empty. Again I don’t write reviews because I don’t believe in them but I feel better saying this. I don’t want to get no one in trouble that’s not my intentions my intentions are to say that if you have a construction zone and a campsite across the street don’t let people stay there. Offer them something else. Camping is about family peace and quiet outdoors activities things of that nature and I sat there watching them cutting bricks and a half loud as hell. I’m sorry if I’m coming off rude or inconsiderate but put yourself in my shoes how would you react? You’re supposed to be enjoying peace and quiet with your family. I went to go fishing in the creek and the construction crew was messing around with a snake splash in the water scaring the fish I just didn’t understand what the heck was going on. It’s not to say that I won’t come back because I probably well it’s in a great location for my family but just a sidenote don’t rent those out if there’s noise construction and things of that nature knowing that that’s going to happen all day. All day. Aside from that like I said the nature was great the walks were good bathrooms are clean. The only major issue I had was about them putting us by a construction site. That is completely unacceptable in my eyes.

Best campground we ever being !! Lots of wildlife and activity’s for the kids . Showers very clean . Nice hiking and canoeing. Campsites very spacious and plenty space between all of them so you don’t really hear you neighbors . Swimming lake looks safe . Hiking it’s about 2 miles I believe! And it’s beautiful we walked with 3 kids 10 /8 / 2 years old and they enjoyed. About the wildlife we have seen turtles, dears , armadillos, alligators , owl’s, raccoons, multiple birds, fish , rabbits and something big that we have no idea what it was at night (we like to believe that was a small bear 😂) . The store have everything and not expensive at all . !! Nice place to ride your bicycle!! And to finish the stuff that works there it’s amazing super friendly and amazing with kids !!!! Can’t wait to be back

Had a fantastic time camping with FTA Happy Hoofers the end of January. The coldest day of the year. We camped at the group fish clan. It was close to the Hwy. Unfortunately heard cars and not the sounds of nature at night. Overall liked this camp ground. Seems well managed. Close to great hiking trails. Water level was low. Next time I hope to bring my Kayak.

We had a family gathering of 16 people on 4 sites. 6 other people came to visit, but didn't stay the night. The ages were 3 to 75 plus a dog and a cat. The 20 to 30 somethings had a great time kayaking and canoeing. The weather was absolutely perfect. We celebrated the new year in style. We can't wait for next year.

Thanks very much you guys I've driven past there several times just never stopped oh, I was looking at it on Google Maps it looks really neat thanks again
No, thankfully! It is located within a protected Wildlife Sanctuary. It is a beautiful place to camp and observe and commune with Nature.
Very nice there penty of room we use a 9 person tent, went with our cub scout group and we had lots of space between tents.
As long as you are there before the office/store closes you'll get in. If you will be late, have your reservation paid for, I'm sure they will give you the code to the gates. The ppl there are wonderful, helpful and always willing to assist. I absolutely love this campground
I know the office is in a tent outside now. Something must be wrong with the building. I would try calling again. I was just there last week and the office was pretty busy. They close at 5PM. Hope that helps.
Not yet as they were hit very hard by the hurricane and the facility was under four feet of water, but they are open, the staff worked majorly hard and the place opened on November 1st. Get a tent or camper and check them out you will not be disappointed
