If I could give them zero stars I would. I made an appointment at 11:15 am on a Monday and when I came the salon was CLOSED, no stylist in sight. I called multiple times and no one answered. Not to mention there are no price estimates. This was such a waste of time, 0/10 do not recommend.

Doing online research, found this place in Newark! Was excited to get my hair dreaded again after almost 3 years! Booked an appointment (same week), followed the instructions. Showed up to my appointment on time. Clean environment (from walk in perspective). Initially before my appointment I did my diligence, but couldn't find a price menu and their website does not work. Prior to the appointment I wanted to get an estimate, they refused to give it over the phone. This was a red flag for me, it told me they don't have a set price or a minimal, they "eyeball" what they should charge, instead of setting a standard. When I got there, Loctician told me $300 for starter dreads, no extensions or fake additional hair, just my natural hair.. She didn't seem motivated to want to do my hair anyways. I didn't even ask her why, I said thank you, and respectfully walked right out. The Loctician was finishing a client, and all the client can do was give me that look. At that point, I told myself this is not the place for me. It seems to me that this place of business, regardless of the location, is overcharging the price for new clients. Extorting people for their financial resources. Doubling the fees will not bring new clients, especially when the volume of clients does not match for this specific location. I asked around and the money this establishment is asking for is a bit much. Seems fair, but expensive pricing for mediocre results.

Shop and owner is unprofessional. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. Came here to get my locs taken out. Did all my due diligence (Called ahead, got pricing, schedule appt) and yet when I arrived was told they had no time to take my dreads out, after I had already traveled to Newark just for that reasoning. Really big inconvenience. I’m disgusted.

Yes it's supposed to at first then over time it will loosen up you. You can also ask the beautician to not make the dreads or braids or twist so tightly , you can say you have a tender scalp. Hope this helps
It depends on the length of your hair. You have to call
No

Depends on how long they are. Overall, they are by far the best styling shop that I know. And they're beautiful bright outgoing women.
No if you let them know they will take you.
