The road to get up there is TERRIBLE. You will want 4x4 capabilities.

It is a beautiful area, BUT!!! there is not only a $20 per night fee for one vehicle ($10 for ever extra) but the drive is SCARY and very very rough!!! We were a little disappointed to find that it had a fee. Because I didn't see anything about a fee when I looked at the website.

Yes and i think it campsite 18 in the pine trees
Yes
We were able to camp without reservation 😀
Not that I saw. It is for tents only. They have a picnic table and a place for a campfire. They have a place to park a car and that's about it. I didn't see any water hook up but there are outhouse bathrooms.
There were several cars up there.
There are a couple of ponds not very far away, but not really for kayaking.
I would not. Even risk it but if you do, take bountiful canyon amd go up sheep herders instead of skyline and you will find some spots. not Farmington canyon, way too narrow, the road is a car wide in spots with three big switchbacks... Bountiful canyon is two cars wide. Do ypurself a favor and take a car or SUV up first and check it out. Also: No hookups. Very remote campground. Again hetter off taking Bountiful canyon up to sheep herders (old church rd)
18 for the night
$16 per night, $8 per additional vehicle i believe. Dogs are no problem! My family loves camping there!
