Once again, on a short trip thru the ADK and made sure to add the Oxbow to our stay. Only one night, but enjoyed the benches facing the lake, watching jet skis and sailboats. After dinner, sat on the front porch just enjoying the evening. I just can't say enough about the accommodations. Beautiful, rustic room with all the amenities, neat and clean with a great view of the lake. If you're in the area, make this a stopping place!

Loved this place! Wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back. Stopped here while hiking the NPT. Great for a comfy bed, hot shower, washing clothes. Sitting by the lake, enjoying the sunset, etc. Beautiful.

I stayed at the Oxbow Lake Motel: oxbowlakemotel.com for 3 nights. The room came with two beds, a tv, kitchenette and a bathroom. The motel is located on Oxbow Lake where the owners have motor boats, kayaks, canoes and I believe a paddle boat for rent. The location is awesome, because, not only is it on the water, but it also has a restaurant next door that frequently has live music. It was great waking up to coffee and homemade zucchini bread and then in the evening watching the beautiful sunsets next to a fire, while the loons made their evening calls. I enjoyed a great swim from their beach area and Rick and Chris were nice enough to take myself and two other motel guests out in the lake on a pontoon boat. Also while I was there, a motorcyclist was in need of some tools. Rick with zero hesitation ran home and returned with what was needed. I am not a germaphobe, but I hate going to a place that I am paying to stay and finding it unkept or neglected. The opposite was true here. Every surface of the room was Clean, Clean Clean. If you are looking for the a 5 star hotel with breakfast in bed service, hot towels, massages on site and caviar, this in not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a clean place with almost unbelievable service this is it.

The Oxbow Motel is a gem! It was excellent because we felt like we were staying among family and old friends. The owners were so kind, ready with coffee and baked goods in mornings and pleasant to talk to. We forgot our fan for sleeping and when we asked where to buy one, they gave us one of their fans! What a nice gesture and it was in our room before I returned with my coffee. Unbelievably genuine inviting and warm hospitality- clean, comfy, tv, refrigerator, table & chairs, beautiful bay window with lake view. A lovely retreat with a relaxing atmosphere.
