Absolutely serene and beautiful garden to take your time to walk through and admire. I saw chipmunks, juncos, robins, dragonflies, and all the beautiful greenery. An enchanted place to meditate in.

Delightful romp in cultivated nature. I was sad one trail is closed though, probably due to dead madrone trees that may fall. And the pond we enjoy watching newts swim in is covered with a pink water plant.

Beautiful, peaceful garden setting in a hilly area above Willamette River. Winding gravel & stone paths include some stairs with railings. The huge wisteria bower next to the visitor's parking lot is breathtaking. But right now, it's an in-between time for flowers. Many spring flowers have finished blooming, while summer flowers have not started.

Portland never ceases to surprise me with all of the beautiful free activities that are available. Elk Rock Garden is one of those, where you will find beautiful English inspired Gardens. I visited on a rainy day so we mostly had the entire property to myself, but due to the layout of the trails you can easily get lost with yourself and pretend like no one else is around.

I'd give at least a half an hour to enjoy the trails and views, I wouldn't just go for fifteen minutes.

It's all dirt paths. Probably would be best to do on a dry day.
