Jason is thoughtful, helpful, and passionate. My wife and I are from out-of-state and make it a hobby to visit as many rock & mineral stops as we can while traveling. Portland Rocks is our favorite in the entire area. The specimens are unique and thrilling, the prices are a deal, and we feel like a friend when we come in. We bought a couple beautiful pieces and are reminded daily of our appreciation of this shop and the friendliness of this curator.

Truly a gem lovers paradise! 💎❤️ We visited because an employee of another shop in Springfield recommended it to us last weekend. Well worth the drive from Albany. This Ammolite pendant is magical, and now one of my most valued treasures. My husband loves all of the rutilated Quartz (5 pcs) he got. The shop is BEAUTIFUL and there’s something in there for every budget. It was so sweet seeing a kiddo cracking open their own geode also! We will be back for sure, so grateful to have visited today. You rock! ☺️

I have been admiring this beautiful shop before it opened and have enjoyed watching it blossom since it opened. I went in there tonight and am so impressed with the all the beautiful amethyst pieces - they are decorative and functional. The pieces are truly stunning!! They are all mined responsibly. Amethyst is my birthstone so it's hard for me to resist buying everything amethyst in the shop. An enchanting store for lovers of rock specimens and rough and faceted gemstones. There a vast selection of lesser known gems, ones you rarely see in person, as well as more traditional quartz/amethyst geodes. I can't wait to try the cool crack-your-own-geode machine! You can easily find the perfect gift for someone special in the shop. There are plenty of options for just about everyone. Thank you so much Jason for your wonderful store! Stopped in today for a much anticipated trip in! They are still unpacking beautiful pieces, I found the most perfect amethyst specimen for a killer price! Unique and beautiful quality selection. I talked with the owner for about 20 minutes about how he got started and where his minerals he has for sale come from. Very welcoming environment, even got to see someone crack their own geode! I will definitely be doing that on my next stop in!! Love this new shop so much already!!
