The front desk supporting staff are careless and unprofessional. They schedule appointments that they cannot fulfill. I could not get with them an appointment for ultrasound than 2 months later, and a week before the actual appointment they reach out to tell me that I need to reschedule and they cancelled without even consulting with me. They claimed they called me, but a week away from the appointment. However, they were really fast on calculating the deductible and I got an email about the payment (when already the appointment was cancelled). Unbelievable how they disrespect patient's time and care. Avoid them!

Although the medical expertise possessed by the physicians of this institute is amazing, it is unreasonable to have to wait 6+ weeks to schedule a cardiac MRI. I understand that the demand is high, but do not understand why NW doesn't purchase more MRI machines. With a $16 billion endowment, I cannot see how that would be cost prohibitive.

I recently Had an MRI at NW which was a horrible experience! The technicians were fine, however, the noise was torture!!!! I was given earplugs and headphones which did nothing to block out the extremely loud, blaring noise. (This would be what I would expect torturing enemies at Guantanamo.)Having had previous MRI's I did not expect this and definitely will not return! Someone needs to check the machine and get some headphones that work!!

Found out NW was going to charge me $7,320 for a cardiac stress test. The national average cost for this test is $1535. No hospital is this great. My entire experience with NW Bluhm Cardiac institute was a solid "F".

Call the department and request one.
They do. They have open imaging machines for all scans. Just let them know you prefer an Open MRI/CT/PET and they will use an open machines. They’re pretty brand new (maybe only 2 years at the most).
