My husband had a great experience (5 stars rate) in Owen branch Better Vision. So I decided to have my first eye checkup with them. There was no available appointment in my convenience at that branch so I went over to their Ramsey branch. I just wish I had a better experience like others. The front desk, other staff and Dr during eye checkup were all nice, they’re very approachable but I was asked by staff like 3x if I were to get an eye glasses. The optical staff was also nice but quite pushy with anti-glare. I asked to remove it to lessen the $700+ cost of prescription eye glasses but she’s telling me to remove the transition effect instead of anti-glare. I should’ve be firmed. Total cost was $520 after $200 deduction from my eyeglasses insurance coverage. I wish they have cancellation policy as well especially for orders less than 24 hours. I was so hesitant and felt like Im still not ready for eye glasses since the Dr said that my prescription’s still low and its just for my eyes’ comfort so I tried to cancel the order. I placed an order around 5:30pm, tried to call around 6:20 to cancel the order but its out of their office hours. So I called the next day 10am, the optical staff said that it cannot be cancelled, if I called back yesterday 2-3 hours after I placed the order, I might still be able to cancel the order. But I left the store minutes from their closing time. She told me that the process will be long because she needs to get approval from her manager, contact my insurance since I used my insurance coverage ($200) for the eyeglasses and the manufacturer. Unfortunately, I received a callback from Ramsey branch after following up and I was told that they cannot do anything already since lenses were generated and was placed on the frame (in just less than 24 hours). That was fast! I thought it will take like within 2 weeks for the prescription eyeglasses to be available. So there will be no refund. I will just wait for that eye glasses instead. This was my first eye checkup experience. I wasnt also aware of the “no cancellation policy” on the receipt. I should have checked it properly. This is a big lesson for me. For future clients, be careful before buying eye glasses, check if there’s refund/exchange or cancellation policy.

I edited my review to a five-star, because other than the troubles they gave me to get me and my children seen in the same day I’ve never had any complaints about this office! I love the Dr actually! I wish I didn’t need to write a bad review to be kept as a patient. But all in all - other than the troubles with scheduling this year I’ve never had a complaint and would choose to stay as a patient. This office is NOT family friendly! They will not see more than two people in a family in one day. To be clear this is not me trying to squeeze myself and my children in one appointment, I have always scheduled all three of us with separate appointments same day.. Apparently they have changed their rules were only two people in the same family are allowed to come in the same day causing me to have to get a sitter at least one day so that my family of three could be seen in two separate days.. Pretty disheartening that I will need to find a new eye doctor for myself and two children after being patients here the last three years. It is absolutely ridiculous that they refused to schedule a parent and her two children in the same day.. And now that I need to find a new doctor who can actually accommodate a single parent household, they want to charge me $15 per person to get a copy of our records. Not as family oriented as I originally thought of this doctor and office!!!
