I thought my experience with Magnolia was possibly just an isolated situation. It seems that poor patient care, lack of communication amongst staff, and incompetent employees is common place. Since it is my money I just decided last week to take my Healthcare somewhere else. I wish I had went with my gut and switched sooner. I am embarrassed for the doctors and staff at Magnolia Ob/Gyn for the patient care they feel is acceptable.

I recently left Magnolia OBGYN and transferred to another practice for the following reason. Despite of an appointment was made, they still made me wait 45 minutes to an hour. I only saw the doctor 1 out of 3 appointments. And even when I finally saw her, the doctor didn’t address any of my questions because she never spent time looking at my charts. If she had spent time looking at my charts, she’d have known the previous two times I was there were for ultrasound and blood tests. And this time she was supposed to discuss those test results with me. But she acted like she didn’t know anything. I had to reexplain why I was seeing her today after I already told her two nurses on two separate occasions right before she came in to the exam room. Obviously, her nurses didn’t communicate to her, either. This whole experience made me feel like she didn’t really care about her patients. They had the technician did the ultrasound scan. But the technician isn’t allowed to discuss the scan result with me right there. Instead, they told me the doctor will call me in the next 3 days to discus the result. I waited. No one ever called me. I had to call them myself on the 5th day. On the phone, they said “No”... I had to wait until I see the doctor to discuss the results, which was 3 weeks from when I called. And when I did finally see the doctor, first she didn’t know why I was there. After I explained it to her, all she said was “The scan is fine.” No details was given. It was really frustrating. The most recent appointment I had there was to get a pap smear. I waited 3 weeks to get the result back. I got a phone call saying the test result required sample tissues for further testing. But they never really explained the details of why and what. They just immediately wanted to schedule the procedure and told me the insurance is covered and my copay would be $25. This whole experience felt really cold and impersonal. I ended up going to a different OBGYN. The new doctor reviewed my past medical histories, asked all sort of health related questions and then explained what my pap smear test result meant in great details in order to help me make an informed decision what I should do. She made me feel like my well being is important to her. I’m so glad that I found the new OBGYN. That being said, that means I’m never going back to Magnolia OBGYN. I gave two stars because although I had a bad experience there. The couple of staff I met, the nurse and nurse practitioner, are friendly and nice.

Dr. Nelson is very unprofessional especially when you are part ownership of the faculty. She had release my medical information to someone that I bought with me to my visit without their knowledge of knowing who they were. By her release in that type of information my whole world has change. Dr. Tracy Golden is wonderful she is awesome but due to the fact of what Dr. Nelson did I no longer will want to attend this faculty I immediately ask for my medical records and every sign consent form they have she had violated the Hippo law. Dr. Nelson is not a very warming doctor the moment before she even blurred out my medical record she was nasty from the time she walked through the door her attitude is nasty and she’s not a Warming doctor she makes you feel very uncomfortable and not welcome so due to this incident unfortunately I had to leave this faculty. if you would like to keep your medical records to yourself I strongly encourage you not to bring anyone with you during your visit. I will give zero stars if I can.

No, a doctor's office
There is a possibility someone forgot to turn the phones back on that morning. They are very busy as soon as they open having patients flooding through the door getting them all checked in. If you never have worked in an office setting then you wouldn't understand. I work in a Home Care Office and we get slammed and there are times we can't answer all the phone calls if we are all the phone already. You have to put yourself in their shoes. Kindness and patience goes a long way.
