Great environment to read and study even if you don’t go to the college!

Undergrad study carrels have been quieter lately, which has been nice. I check out a laptop and headphones every time; it's better than lugging around my own laptop and cords. Having Starbucks right there is pretty cool, too.

The free two-hour textbook rental program for students is a lifeline. The staff is friendly and the environment on every floor is great for studying. The only issue is that the fourth floor, which is the quiet floor, has an ant infestation. So while it is quiet, the ants are distracting and seem like they may be an issue for the building.

Great library, great people, great technology and a very welcoming environment. 6 out of 5 stars!

Hi Deva - no you do not have to be a student to visit the library. We are open to the public. Hope to see you soon!
Starting after 5 PM you can also check out laptops overnight. There are also individual study rooms on the third and fourth floors that you can check out the key for.
Hi Gretta - if you have UWF credentials a good place to start would be to use our OneSearch function on the library homepage and search for "self publishing" - https://login.ezproxy.lib.uwf.edu/login?url=http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?direct=true&bquery=self+publishing&cli0=FT&clv0=Y&type=0&site=eds-live If you use the "Full Text" limiter you can restrict the results to only things that are available online. Beyond that here are two other links to information that might be helpful https://www.cnet.com/news/self-publishing-a-book-25-things-you-need-to-know/ and https://www.forbes.com/sites/deborahljacobs/2014/04/25/how-to-self-publish-your-book-through-amazon/#24c230ad44d3
Only if you have a membership for nonaffiliated patrons of the library and I believe they sell those memberships with a monthly or yearly fee
