How can you close, write on marker board to call the number to the building, we call and it turns into a series of beeps?

Due to Covid they may prefer mailing but I would suggest going in person if possible. Check thier website for more info

Yes it is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. They usually accept the last walk in at 3:45.
I spoke with someone regarding getting a SS card back in my maiden name, it was court ordered after my divorce. I was told I need ID in my maiden name. I do not have ID from 13 years ago, I have my SS old card in my maiden name. How do I do this?

A divorce decree is sufficient if it states that you can resume using your maiden name.
Alternatively, a name change with probate will suffice.

There's a form you fill out which you can get from the security guard. Once you fill it out return it and place a valid ID in the envelope along with the documents you signed. They will ship your ID back to you within 7 business days and your new card should come in the mail about 10 business days afterwards. Good lock!
I am an American, but presently live in Brazil. Apparently, there is absolutely no way I can apply for my SS benefits here. My daughter has been accepted into CWRU. If I come with her in August, can I apply for benefits through this office?
