I had to cancel my week long family vacation because the company’s new card reader wouldn’t verify my identity, even after providing multiple forms of identification including Global Entry. Charlie, the manager wouldn’t give me any explanations or failed to provide me with any assistants or way to remedy this. He told me to figure it out myself and would not escalate this through his channels to help. Great thanks After multiple calls with Budget, their customer security, and Avid-Budget’s DMV - I still have no answers. I somehow landed on their do not rent list & the only thing i can do is send my drivers license number to an arbitrary email to “investigate” through auto-replies and no end date in sight.

You Cannot Rent a Vehicle without A Credit Card at the Marriott Location. Then it is a $200 Hold until about 3 days after you return the vehicle.
