Dr. Sean Gallagher is nothing short of amazing. He just performed a TRKA revision surgery and the results were amazing. I have more range of motion after surgery than I had before surgery. I cannot believe that I ever questioned having another surgery to correct a botched original surgery by a different surgeon. I would not hesitate to have any orthopedic surgery with Dr. Gallagher in the future. Highly, highly recommend!

UPDATE 9/29/2022- The non-surgical treatment worked well, however after 4 months my hip was becoming very painful again. Went and saw Dr. Gallagher again. We had a long discussion about my options. I never felt rushed and I was confident all my questions were answered. I was not pressured to make a certain decision...it was my decision. I've decided to go forward with hip replacement surgery and I know I am in good hands with Dr. Gallagher. My Houston orthopedic surgeon referred me to Dr. Gallagher, as I was moving to the Austin area. I had my first appointment a few days ago. I was very pleased that I could get an appointment so quickly. The staff was very pleasant and I did not wait long to see the doctor when I arrived for my appointment. Dr. Gallagher was very pleasant and he explained very well as to what is causing my hip pain. I didn't feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. I've chosen to first try nonsurgical treatments that the Doctor recommended and we will see how I respond to the treatments. If I decide to have hip replacement surgery I feel very confident that Dr. Gallagher is the best surgeon for my surgery.

Hi Barbara- I do both partial and total knee replacements. Most are done using a minimially invasive medial parapatellar approach. I align the knee kinematically, which means I match your original knee alignment before the arthritis. I usually use a ceramic coated knee to avoid the potential for metal hypersensitivity/allergy.
My husband just had knee replacement surgery, and another patient there at hospital had had hip surgery an hour before my husband. While my husband was still in recovery, this other guy was up and walking and ready to go home on same day. Knee are actually a little harder than hips, so husband stayed the night. Dr. Gallagher was fantastic. He has never been rushed, and always takes time to answer questions and address concerns. Also, he did not push doing the surgery. Said to go home and think about it and let him know, which is what we did. The staff at his office are great also. The surgery was at Seton on 38th, and hospital staff treated husband like a king. We are just over a week out from surgery and had post-op visit. Incision looks great and healing well. Desolvable stitches and covered with steri strips. Highly recommend Dr. Gallagher!
