I lived here for a year and a half, and it was great. This was my first solo apartment, and I always felt safe. The staff and maintenance crew were wonderful, and always timely with their responses. Nice facilities, clean apartments, safe area. No issues to note. Highly recommend!

Now that I've finally moved out, I can post this. This apartment has several good things. 1. The maintenance staff is quick to respond, friendly, and wonderful. 2. The view of the apartment is great. 3. Location is great. 4. The price of rent is great for a 2 bedroom. Now on to the bad things that made my experience here give it a two star. 1. The communication is awful. When I first moved in, I paid my first month of rent via money order. I was told by the front desk that my first month of rent was covered (I moved in early July) only to get an angry email three days later that my rent was overdue and I was to be evicted. After calling, they told me that my rent was not covered, and I had to pay July's rent. I have never had an overdue payment in my life before this experience. I set up auto-payments and we were good for a while. Which leads to problem number 2. 2. The online portal will STOP automatic payments WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. It did this about 8 months into my lease. No phone call, no email. NOTHING. I was notified by a piece of paper saying my rent was late and that I needed to get ANOTHER money order (in 2021 in the middle of a pandemic) to pay my overdue rent and a late fee. I was upset and re-set up automatic payments for it to happen AGAIN the next month. I think they just updated their online portal and hopefully this will not be an issue any more because it still makes my blood boil to think about it. 3. The staff will never answer the phone. You can call and leave a message. I guarantee it will be at least 3 business days until someone gets back to you. 4. If you complain about noise using the online portal, nothing will be done. So I hope you like noisy neighbors, because I am convinced everyone who lives here knows they can make as much noise as they want without consequences. Overall, the apartment themselves are great. The communication between staff and tenants really needs some work.

Apartment was okay couple small defects (had broken slat, couple spots on ceiling wear paint head chipped off, piece of vinyl flooring in hallway peeling up, air conditioner quit working about a month after moved in.) That's my Commons did put in brand new AC unit and heating unit but took about 5 days to get installed. They did offer and provided us with a portable air conditioner unit to use an apartment until new one was installed but they didn't offer untill after we had already made reservations at a hotel because apartment was 78 degrees at 2pm and was only going to get hotter throughout day. Nothing had been mentioned about any kind of temporary AC unit for us to use. You think they would have mention that when we had told them the AC was broke or it's not then when they called to tell us that they were going to have to replace the unit not tell us after we made a paid reservation for hotel and was leaving apartment complex!!! Not a bad place to live but not the greatest for money it cost to live here! The biggest downfall about westmont Commons is in the amenity section! There is no playground for the kids. We have a two bedroom 1200 a month for rent they got a fortune coming in every month you would think that they could at least install a at least little playground for kids. But not only be good exercise and something to do for kids but would also help in the safety aspect of keeping the kids out of the road and they wouldn't have to do things for entertainment like they got a rope tied from a branch of a tree with a stick through the rope that they jump off of the hill and swing into the parking lot on towards people's cars. Not to mention that's how kids become interactive with each other is meeting at the playground gets them out of house and away from TV and electronics! I would even be willing to volunteer my time to help install playground if they would just purchase one!!!!

I've had some roomate troubles over the past year, but the office has been AMAZING with handling the issues and keeping me informed. I've been saved so much stress thanks to their hardwork and assistance, and it has been a big help to me personally!
