I'm telling you this is a well organized, beautiful, and clean recycle plant . Opens at 830an and everything is appropriately marked. They take almost every kind of your recycle waste except a few items that are clearly listed on the website. I went early and was I and out in 10min . It is a self serve situation and you will need to put in correct bins. But I got to say was very impressed

The problem is that garbage is picked up once a week while recycling is picked up every 2 weeks. Should be the other way around. It's 2020, we need to go greener.
How about building materials and the a cabinet and sink
Yes! Absolutely
Yes they do take tires. For a fee. Visit https://www.middletownnj.org/recycling You will see a field to type information about what is accepted for recycling

Yes
Take them to Middletown recycling and give them to one of the employees there. Very helpful group they will know what to do with them.
No they do not take wood
We do accept used motor oil and Styrofoam from non residence because of county regulations but, We only accept clean, white and dry packaging Styrofoam. No cups, plates or packaging peanuts.
I'm sorry, no, it's for Middletown residents only.
If they are metal, yes!
Hello James, No, unfortunately we do not take mattresses at the Recycling Center, but if you are a resident you can wrap your mattress in plastic and leave it curbside on your bulk day and it will be collected. You can also take your mattress to the Monmouth County Landfill (county dump) in Tinton Falls and pay to dispose of it there. Thanks, Ted
For yard waste, the Middletown Recycling Center does not accept dirt, grass, mulch or wood chips, only leaves (from November 1st - June 1st) and brush.
Commercial vehicles cannot dispose of brush at Kanes Lane but if your friend has a personal truck and is a Middletown resident then he can drop of brush there. If he's not a Middletown resident you will have to go along and report the address when you drop off.
No, pallets are not accepted. They can be set out curbside as bulk.
Yes but you're better off going to red bank recycling so you can get some money out of it
We do not take furniture except metal frames.
Hello Helen! If it is latex paint you should open the cans and let the paint dry and harden in the can, then through it out with your regular garbage. If it is oil paint you will have to take it to the Monmouth County Household Hazardous Waste Facility on Shafto Road in Tinton Falls. You need to call first to make an appointment at (732) 683-8686 ext. 5210.
Yes
You would need to take that to the monmouth cty reclamation center, $5 per 100lbs. https://g.co/kgs/sthSyb
Because each town is different, the best thing to do is contact Middletown. I would start with the recycling center itself, and Public Works after that. Best of luck!
No
Yes. They charge $10 to remove the freon.
No tying is needed - taken loose right into the container

Yes
I canned mine (MS Waste) and they said to just leave it outside where it's visible and they'll eventually pick it up during their rounds. I left it out first few days after New Years and bothering, so I put it away. But called them this week and they said their still coming around looking for cans. We'll see...
