Living Energy Healing

I was born in Asheville, and my Mother and Father taught at Mars Hill University for about eleven years. We lived in Asheville, Weaverville, and Mars Hill. I've just moved back from living and working in Huntsville, Alabama for 26 years.

Before becoming a massage therapist, I was a software developer. My undergraduate degree is in engineering. I first worked at Duke University in the Academic Information Services department, writing software for PCs, micros, and minicomputers, and for the mainframe. I did a lot of hardware integration in the early days of networking and was a database administrator and systems administrator for medium-to-large scale systems there. I have also written software for the medical laboratory industry, and for the library automation industry, working at SIRSI Corporation.

I received my Orthopedic Massage certification from OMERI, now Whitney Lowe's Academy of Clinical Massage, in the year 2000. In 2014 I graduated from Betsy Bergstrom's Shamanic Teacher Training program #1 and am authorized to teach shamanism and shamanic healing techniques. I received my certification to facilitate Systemic Family Constellations in 2015, finishing Francesca Mason-Boring's 7-month certification training program. Since that time I have published two articles in the Knowing Field, the International Constellations Journal, and have presented new work at the North American Systemic Constellations Conference in 2017. I studied Electrical Engineering and received a Bachelor's degree from Duke University.

I became a licensed massage therapist in Alabama in May of 1999, when I opened my full-time therapy practice. I received my North Carolina massage license in November of 2017, shortly before I moved back home to these beautiful mountains. I have been in full-time massage therapy practice since May of 1999.

In addition to the certified Orthopedic and Medical Massage services I offer, I have completed my clinical requirements to become a registered Acupressurist. I am certified to facilitate Systemic Family Constellations, Nature Constellations, and Organizational Constellations. I am a Shamanic Instructor and I offer a wide variety of Shamanic Healing and Energy Healing techniques. Multi-Dimensional Clearing and Blessing Spaces is one of my favorite things to offer.

I was trained in advanced treatment-oriented bodywork at the prestigious Healing Arts School of Massage. I combine Energy Healing with massage for deep clearing, relaxation, and healing support. I offer Deep Tissue Massage, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Trigger Point Therapy, and Integrative Acupressure. I have completed my clinical requirements to become a registered Acupressurist. I also been trained in and offer massage for the medically frail, and massage for the person undergoing and living with cancer treatment.
