Very great park. There is plenty of trails that run beside the river and the river is big enough to swim in or fish in. A very nice place to come and hang out with your friends or family.

Yes as was stated. $5.00 gives you a picnic place with parking and access to the river to fish, swim and hot showers and clean restrooms.
I know RV's are welcome but I don't know size restraints
No camping allowed because of water and wastewater problems. I was told it would also be closed to day use after Labor Day. Try Black Mountain Campground or Toe River Campground.

Thanks for your question. While there is no dump station at Carolina Hemlocks Rec. Area, there is a dump station at Black Mountain Campground nearby.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church is located on 20 Summit Street in Burnsville, NC. It is approximately 21 minutes away from Carolina Hemlocks Rec. Area.
You do not have to reserve a camp spot to utilize the picnic area. You would pay a day use fee, which would also allow you to use the swimming area. Yes, the picnic area is a first come basis. Thank you for your inquiry.
There are sites near the river and they also have showers
They prefer if you are licensed and bring your own gear. They used to sell bait but I am not sure if they still do
