I’m looking to come camping in the area mid October. I’m from up north. Is the river water typically too cold for swimming by then, or is it still ok?

It will be in the lower 60's by mid October. Wetsuit appropriate. Great fishing and hiking in the immediate area however. Exceedingly pretty.

The water will be really to cold! In July you can barely handle it! It's the coldest place I've ever been in my 53 Year's! I started Trout fishing when I was 6. This place is 15-20 from where my Day is from. Plus a Rock's throw from other family! To tube or swim you have to be there in Early summer! I'm not sure if the Campground is still open in oct? If not I can get you a place to stay 15-20 and it's a Monster lake it's a State Park and I have a lot of family who works there. So I can get you the Best Camp Spot! They told me about a new one and you have to have a Boat to use it! Unless you have a key!
