No camping allowed because of water and wastewater problems. I was told it would also be closed to day use after Labor Day. Try Black Mountain Campground or Toe River Campground.
Hi Clyde, Carolina Hemlocks is closed for the 2022 camping and day-use season due to a systemic water system failure. Our managing organization FIND Outdoors will serve as the liaison between the public and the US Forest Service as they work to resolve this issue. We all anticipate re-opening the site in April 2023. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Hope to see you next year.
