Checked into our room. It was HOT, had obviously been heavily smoked in, smoke detector hanging off the wall, and NOT clean. My wife and I are pretty understanding people, so we just assumed maybe the front desk gave us the wrong room or a smoking room, whatever. Tried using the room phone to dial the front desk, and it did not work either. We went back down and asked specifically for a non smoking room in case that would have been an option. We were given a new room key and upon entering, we found it in the EXACT same state as the first room - disgusting, reeked of smoke, smoke detector broken. We decided to book a room at a holiday in literally 5 minutes down the road. Called the front desk and told them about the state of both rooms and that we would be going elsewhere and would like a refund. Mind you the whole visit was less than 15 minutes. The lady would not even discuss a refund. My wife called back at a later date that the man she spoke with was extremely hateful and hung up on her. PLEASE do not waste your money here. It is a poor example of a hotel and even poorer example of management.

Awesome hotel. Very clean. The guy at the front desk was friendly. Bed was comfy. Only bad thing was the bathroom was small. Breakfast was good. Would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

Location is always important, and this motel is located just off of I-40, just north of Knoxville TN. Easy on and off, and if you have some extra time, you can visit a beautiful lake and Douglas dam. The room had a bad (dog) pee smell and was a bit outdated, which was too be expected. Some items were broken, like the alarm clock, heavily strained phone and some of the floorboard carpet. The rooms have a small fridge, but no microwave. The breakfast was low end, with cereal, bread items, coffee, juices and a gallon bottle of milk to be shared by guests (not very Covid aware). The have 2 waffle makers and a syrup dispenser, which made breakfast acceptable. The pool is small and easily overcrowded, so we didn't use it. Some staff was exceptionally friendly and courteous, one staff was asleep at the front desk. Overall okay for a night sleep, but not for longer stay.

The lady at the desk was nice but she kept saying my card was declined when I know there was plenty of money on there. I asked her to swipe it instead of manually keying it in and she said she had put the number in correctly and asked for a different card. I called my bank and sure enough..she was putting the wrong expiration date. Then when we got to our room as soon as we opened the door the smell hit us hard. It was an old musty/moldy smell mixed with dog urine. Weird stains all over the bed and I could tell the bedding wasnt changed between guests because there was hair all over. Some outlets were missing drom the wall and other outlets completely didn't work. There was black mold in the bathroom. Just all over an unpleasant experience.

Agreed - I think this requires a direct call to hotel ior to Days Inn main reservation number. Remember to mention or ask for any possible discounts (military / AARP / etc)
This is wrong place to ask this. Rates for motels change almost daily.
