This location was very good. The service was impeccable. The food was basic but good. There was a great deal of breading on the chicken in my salad, but the chicken itself was moist and flavorful. The lettuce was just iceberg, but then again, it could have been the "spring mix" that restaurants feel the need to use. Romaine, bibb, and spinach mixed with the iceberg make a great mix. I don't know if this is a nationwide trend with this chain. The Barrel was always our "go to" when traveling. Lately, it just hasn't been the same, especially since they discontinued my favorite meal.

Was the worst ever.. no biscuits were available at time of meal excuse was several no clean plates to place them on or they weren't ready . Husband breakfast was not cooked as asked steak was well done when asked for medium rare and waitress said we should have ordered it almost raw in order for it to be correctly cooked they did bring another steak with eggs 30 min later after I had already finished my meal and still there was no available biscuits .. and steak was still not cooked as asked.. yes understand that everybody is understaffed but this is really becoming a excuse for everything and getting old especially when you order a meal and it's costly and still not correct..they expect you to pay for what you order your order should be done to expectations or a manager should come out and compensate for the meal or meals ..just not good for the patriot that visited for their meals and still not receive what they ordered and still have to pay outrageous prices for something you couldn't enjoy because of quantity of food prepared or not prepared..

Food is great. Only thing is, I wish the grits were thicker. The bathrooms need to be cleaned. Toilets are yucky looking.

There isn't a better place to have breakfast in this area because Cracker Barrel sets the bar high. I ordered the sunrise sampler and the wife had the mama's pancake breakfast. Between the 2 of us there was everything on the table you could think of for traditional country breakfast. Staff was attentive and everything was cooked perfectly.
