I've only been here once and that was today. It was about 9:55 a.m. and there was no one really in line. They do have a sign that you can only allow six people in at a time, but the line went pretty quick. I only had to turn in a license plate and couldn't remember what I did last time I sold my car and had to turn in a license plate in North Carolina so I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure what to do. However, all I had to do was turn in the plate and get the receipt. I will say no one answers the phone so that is frustrating. But if anyone is trying to turn in a plate that had a car that was sold in North Carolina it was very easy.

The wait in the sun wasn’t as long as I thought it would be. But it did get hot.

I guess you can it is where get and replace plates and issue handicap placards
Need to wait in line...best 2-3:00 midweek if possible
Its the DMV good luck. Sorry for being blunt but yup it is what it is a state agency.
No
Not at this location.
In North carolina, it's very specific. A DMV license plate agency only does plates, registrations and titles. A DMV drivers license agency only does licenses, permits and drivers tests. And all NC DMV's have also started taking car, city and highway taxes, which you will need to pay before getting a new expiration sticker for your tag. If you don't pay your taxes you will have a big "T" where your expiration sticker goes. It's will tell police officers that you haven't paid your taxes on your vehicle. Most officers won't worry you about it, but don't will write you a ticket for not having your expiration sticker/ registration.
You do not have to stand in line if you dont need a receipt. There's a box general labeled by the back door. Time to time a woman will come outside ask who's dropping off tags and will walk you to the front of the line to form a much shorter line. This has at least been my experience with them.
Just fo tag office and have your updates insurance card with you.
$5 for one, $6 for two, $7 for three notary signatures. Must be paid in cash.
Both parties don't need to be present. get a notary letter with a copy of the persons drivers licence
yes you have to inspection first.. even with an old registration . then go to the tag office.
No, just registration, and titles
Yes
The tag office
Renewals are every year as far as I know.
You just need proof of insurance (FS1) form that you have you insurance company fax strait to the tag office. (They will not take it from your phone so that's the best way get the number and have this done before you go). It will cost you 15 dollars and 5 of that has to be in cash (no debit or credit so get cash before you go). You will need your ID, and if you have and old registration bring that to. Now that's the best I can tell you unless it's some other issues this will get it.
