ZERO STARS! DO NOT RENT FROM PLANTATION FLATS! MANAGEMENT IS UNETHICAL, MANIPULATIVE, HARASSING AND RETALIATORY!! THEY PRETEND TO CARE BUT THEY DO NOT! READ THE REVIEWS. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER PLACES TO LIVE AND GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO.

After 30 years in this community, I'm moving. There is a lot to recommend. It's a great location. The property is beautiful with old growth trees and lovely lawns. It is affordable housing in today's market. The 2-bedrooms are perfect for roommates or easily configured for a home office. The office staff and maintenance team are helpful. A big plus is that the current manager has years of property management experience. Francine is responsible for improved lighting and a safe space for children to play. Her right hand, Beyda, is very personable and universally loved by the residents. A new maintenance employee joined the staff recently; hopefully, the response time to non-emergency maintenance issues will now be faster. 4/5 stars because they are, in my opinion, understaffed. That's on Monument, not the current management/maintenance team. Offer better salaries and benefits. Monument should also replace the resident portal app. It is clunky, and there are options that will better serve the needs of staff and residents.

I have enjoyed my stay here and will miss it. The apartments are spacious and the patio is wonderful it is so quiet back here that you forget the that your in the middle of North Charleston, the neighbors are nice and helpful and it is truly pet friendly. Francine and Beta will meet your pet before you move in because they understand that your fur babies are a part of the family. The maintenance crew are wonderful and even when they were short handed they came out in a timely manner to fix whatever issue I had. I will miss it here and would recommend these apartments to anyone

To tell u the truth its just not a set rent. U also have to pay for outside lights and water bill. So an $875 rent could easily turn in a $1000 rental bill

How much for one bedroom?

We currently pay $852 for a one bed. When we moved in we complained about a huge stain on the carpet and was told all that could be done would be moving us into another unit because ours was the only one with the older style carpet that is no longer offered and if we moved it would be much more monthly for a one bedroom. Honestly not worth what you pay for what you get in return.
