After all the hype from blogs & reviews decided to give this place a try since i love dim sum. The waitress was pleasant and poor thing was multitasking not only waitressing but also bartending so the delayed response time was absolutely understandable. The seaweed salad was possibly one of the top 3 items i ordered. The baby garlicky choy was hands down the best dish ordered. The scallion pancakes were also delicious and in the top 3 of ordered items. 2/3 dim sums ordered were just not good at all - they were all very gelatinous and hard to chew and swallow - the shrimp had a freezer burn taste so it was hard to stomach that particular option, i mentioned to waitress of taste and she assured me the dim sum is made in house and not frozen. the pork dim sum was also very unpleasant - kudos to them for grinding the meat in house but i did find a few bones in mine and the taste was just off - perhaps that day. The best option surprisingly was the mushroom dim sum the only downfall was the texture of wrapping. With so many other Asian food establishments in Asheville I'd be hard pressed to return without some reservations in regards to the food choices to be ordered.

This place is so great. They have so many different options to choose from, and I'm told they update the menu often. We went around 8 on a Monday night, and there wasn't a wait for a table. They serve Pepsi products, and the food comes out quickly. I recommend picking a few plates to get started and then order more throughout the night. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and did a great job with our party. They were all wearing masks. I definitely recommend this place.

I am vegetarian and I ordered their noodles and mushrooms dumplings. It was pretty delicious. My girl friend ordered spicy chicken which was average according. Overall I think the place is somewhere around 4.5 stars. I really loved it so I am giving it a 5 stars.

Red ginger was a perfect spot for lunch while exploring Asheville. We started with the crispy string beans which were seasoned perfectly and cooked well. The shanghi dumplings were fantastic, filled with pork and soup. The duck was also good but the portion was a bit small for the price. The chicken lo mein was okay but didn’t have much flavor, I would go for more dumplings over it. The best thing we had were the Szechuan wontons. They are not too spicy just have a bit of a kick to them, which is nice. It is full of pork and there is even a whole shrimp at the bottom. These are a must try!! Overall great experience with friendly staff who gave some excellent recommendations.
