Thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks but the physical space this restaurant in leads something to be desired. Felt cramped and the somewhat broken front door which refused to close itself once someone used it was an annoyance throughout the meal. Some upgrades are in order if they want to charge the prices they are.

Everything was fabulous. Intimate setting, amazing wine selection & recommendation (thank you Sean/Shawn!), perfectly prepared, unique dishes. Can’t wait to come back the next time we’re in Asheville!

Incredible wood-fired pizzas. Very large, much bigger than I expected. The Wild Forest pizza was by far the best we tried. Cheesy, garlicky, and just incredible. The service was also tremendous. River was an excellent server. He gave good recommendations and was very charismatic.

We had a great experience at Modesto. Our waiter Darren was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The food was excellent. We had the Spanish Octopus to start, which was really really good! For entrees we had the Amatriciana and Wild Mushroom pasta. Both were excellent. Highly recommend Modesto.
