I come here to relax. I bring my beach chair cold water a nice cigar sit and look out a the bay. It's quite most of the time. I'm here all year round.

Do not follow Google Maps directions. Make the first left at Runway 33, before US Parks Police building and opposite Marine Corps base. Drive straight down to the first stop sign, make a right to Runway 6-24, and drive towards the parks dept. You will not be allowed to drive thru NYPDs gated facility. There are multiple signs along the way to warn you of that.

A very easy place to launch your kayak or canoe. But other than the Aviator field Floyd Bennet is in need of major repairs. A very nice place but so neglected by the government.

It's quiet and off the regular track. You can watch birds, boats, airplanes or simply relax and read. In warm weather there are kayak lessons and fishing tournaments. I mostly bring a chair, some snacks watch the boats and read.

There is no kayak rental here. The closest is Marine Park Wheel Fun rentals.

No.
If you can fit it on the top of your car, and you don't use a motor. The ramp is only for people-powered boats like kayaks & canoes. Jet skis, wave runners, and all manner of motorized craft are forbidden at this ramp, and in the waters around the various islands and Floyd Bennett Field.
Jet skis, wave runners, and all manner of motorized craft are strictly forbidden. Also, please don't park near the ramp unless you have a kayak or canoe with you.
