Thank you for teaching me a new way of life. I am forever grateful to have such amazing people in my life and to have a life period! I have felt the support from every inch of this building and all that lies within it. Solid is my foundation and sobriety made us and that place diamonds. Love me, you, we and us!

My son just reached his 6th year anniversary of living clean. As his Mom, I didn't think he would see his 21st birthday let alone his 27th. Thank you so much for being here and keep up the good work.

Celebrating 5 years of sobriety thanks to the tools and relathionships that were established at Stout Street. Its a hard programs, but life before sobriety was no walk in the park. Thanks Stout Street!

There are better programs out there, they want your money nomatter what they say. The councelor I spoke with to exit the program was of no help whatsoever, had a condescending attitude, and was an all around counter productive, rude, sociopath. I am doing great and enjoying my sobriety. Just do not let the peogram take advantage of you or change your personality.

This is a 2-3 year longterm recovery community. Detox MUST be completed BEFORE admission as there is a no tolerance policy for all psycho-active drugs, including ones used for detox.
You work to pay for your treatment. The program is 18 months and you are provided with everything you need during that time.
Smoking is allowed day 1. In fact, they provide you with cigarettes.
As long as you're on their mailing list and they've been there over 90 days
Third Saturday of the month is visitation day. You need to be on the approved visitation list.
No, this program is completely free. No insurance required. No fees. I am not kidding. I completed this program and am now 7 years clean and sober.
It is free so to speak, but it is a working program, so you work at various outside jobs during your treatment, usually with other clients at businesses around Denver who have contracts with Stout. Typically 40-50 hours.a week to pay for your rent, food, therapy, etc, and the check goes right to Stout not you. However, you won't start work until at least 30 days since you arrive. The first month is known as orientation and you simply learn the basic rules of the place. This is also to give you a month to adjust, finish detoxing, and get back to health. Not too many places will put you up and feed you for a month with no expectation of return.
No.
Short answer, no. However, after you complete first phase you are transitioned into aftercare. You live in their house downtown for 6 months while you save money and come up with a plan to move out.
Said individual could leave but without permission from the courts a warrant most likely would be issued
It depends on his circumstances, approximately a week. Have him call and set up a phone interview to get the ball rolling. It's a great opportunity if he's serious about living a sober life. Good luck!
He should be good, he has to be past the initial withdrawal. Call and talk with them.
You have to be clean when you go in. They can recommend a detox facility. Try hard to make it, it's hard but it will save your life.
I believe it is first come first served but they do have a capacity limit (around 130) and if it is reached, then yes until spots become available.
Absolutely not.
In most cases, there is a 90 day restriction period before a resident can have phone calls or visits unless there are special circumstances. If you try to reach a resident by calling the facility, for confidentiality reasons, you will be told that they can neither confirm nor deny that said resident is there. Do not worry, your loved one is safe. In order to receive phone calls or visits, the resident must get staff permission to make phone calls to arrange visits. If there is something you wish to bring to your loved one such as hygiene products or clothing, you may bring it to the reception desk. I can assure you that they will receive it promptly after it is logged in the residents inventory and checked for contraband. I hope this was helpful. I know all about this place as I have went through the program myself and am now 7 years clean and sober thanks to it. I still visit frequently to give back and help others accomplish thier goal of recovery by showing it can be done. :-)
It depends. I'm assuming you are asking about controlled substances that are commonly abused such as those used to detox off opioids which would be Methadone or Suboxone. Then prescription stimulants such as Adderall,Ritalin, Concerta, Vyvanse are all not going to be allowed. Medications used for anxiety, specifically benzodiazepines and or barbiturates will not be allowed either. If you have to take medication to control your diabetes or to keep your cholesterol at a healthy Leve those medications will definitely e allowed. Basically if you have to ask if they will a medication, the answer is most probably "No".
You can't talk to the patients directly but if you ask to speak with a staff member you can do that and they can handle the question appropriately
You don't have to take anything. They give you everything you need
