Great for family fun. Boys swam for hours, trails are amazing. The 4 wheeler trails are the best ive ever been on. Cabins and public bathrooms are cleaned regularly. They have updated and added to the park since last year. Everything looks amazing. I take my family every year and will continue to do so. Having the black bear show up was great, to bad he/she had to be relocated. Only negative I have is when you register your vehicle when reserving your cabin, it doesn't update to the system till week or 2 later. Have to turn in parking tickets to have them fixed.

I couldn't have planned a more perfect mini vacation on such short notice! We loved everything about Robbers Cave State Park. Our cabin was so freaking adorable! Originally I only booked a one night stay, but after that day, we just *had* to have more time there and we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay for one more night! The dam/waterfall was gorgeous. The lake was beautiful. Everything about this place was amazing!! I would HIGHLY recommend Robbers Cave State Park!! We visited the nature center, Robbers Cave, and we rode horses at Robbers Cave Stables. I cannot praise this state park enough! We loved it so much!

Stayed in the little cabins way up the hill. Was beautifully well done, peaceful and plenty of hiking trails. The robbers cave was very cool hiked all over it.

Yes. There is a live bait shop in Wilburton just a few miles away.
They were up and going couple weeks ago.
No fees but they like donations
I know anyone can ride the trails and last I checked there were approx 52 miles worth of trails.
They have several campsites right on the lake shore. Now please note their are several lakes. Fishing is allowed and you can keep the fish you catch up to whatever their limit may be, as long of course as you have a fishing lisence(which I think is dumb personally). As long as their is no burn ban open you can have a nice comfy fire.
It is more steep than it looks. Wear shoes with enough grip to keep your slide manageable.
I pretty sure just maybe 20 dollars for one person
Not that I could see... I would call the office to see if they will let you bring a grill...
Yes. Cabins and RV sites are on same property near main office
The office will probably be closed when you can still go swimming and enjoy the nature areas
For sure! There are 3 lakes. They do require a fishing license.
You can call ahead and let them know your arrival time, they will assign a site number. They will even put your site for reservation and hang a placard on the post for you to find it easy. Even at the equestrian center for horse sites they will do this. You can pay ahead by card or in the morning when they open. Hope that helps
Our first visit there could you explain to me what the devil's slide is?
Call the park this is for Google users. They can help you. The park is absolutely amazing!
During the summer months they do have paddle boats and canoes.
Bobcats mountain lions yes sir,... Also I lost whiskers, so you might see him as well.
If all goes well, should be the end of February!
Go to travel.ok.com select the state park put in dates and it will tell you!
I would check the state park website for the park. They have a list of activities that can and will change depending on the time of year.
It will depend on the campsite area, but yes in some areas.
I'm not sure if you can pitch a tent by the cabin, but not far away is tent camping.
There is for sale.
It depends on the campground/site. You can look on travelok.com
Yes, you can have a site with electric at Robber's Cave. There are many options at the Caves. I enjoy camping at the primitive sites without electricity, but able to park next to the site. Robber's Cave, also, offers outback camping, where you have to hike in. Be prepared. 🤭 I hope this was helpful. The staff at Robber's Cave are very friendly and helpful. Have fun.
I'm not sure but you can go on their website or call & find out. The people there are so friendly &helpful. We go at least once a year
Call the Corp of engineers office. Ir it may be online
Yes, reservations are now required for all campsites. 😒
All year. You cannot ride the horses on the wildlife management area during hunting season. But park is open a year
Check in time is 5om. They will let you check in early if there is no one in reserved location.
Updating cafe. It was being renovated when I was there along with the gift shop. State does still own. I love that place.
They'll let you know in the confirmation email
No
Yes
I don't know. You will need to call the lodge.
I don't think so but call before you go to make sure I heard most of them was closing up for a while
Hey Dan, we hiked all over the area and just drive around and parked. Happy hiking.
Probably in most areas. Maybe not in parts of the recreation.
I would definitely suggest calling about amenities. Not to mention I always travel with my own linens as I know exactly they are clean and only me...so to speak 😁
I would say yes, I seen 4 different people using them last weekend.
You pay at the office. The park is split in half by the highway, one side goes to the lake and the other side goes slightly uphill and leads to the office.
I think 10am
I did discover that RV sites can be rented for tent camping. Also, there are 2-3 camping sites that I know of that have water and electricty.
Yes, you can also go to TravelOk.com for the rates and other great parks in Oklahoma.
The primitive sites are 14$ a night, people do hike and camp I'm not sure how much it is or if it even costs
I'm not sure on how just showing up works. I always reserve online.
No, only in designated camp areas.
We camped there without horses several times
Yes..pretty nice..hopefully they have updated it since last year..
I saw some out there last weekend but I couldn't tell you the cost. If you call the main office the ladies there are very nice and helpful.
At the main office they have maps of the area available. They do have a few I just couldn't say how many for sure. I believe that you may also see the map on their website.
Good roads.
Yes
We are renting a meeting room at The Lodge for family reunion. There are many rooms and cabins. With advanced planning accommodations can be made for 100 people.
There is a trail that leads down to the lake, it may be a little grown up but if you like to hike it's there for ya. Just look for the sign.
As far as I know pool will be closed it close Labor Day. As far canoes and kayaks I dont know but the pedal boats
Cricket has service at the water front, but no data connection throughout the rest of the park.
No, there are tons of tent spots. Maybe for some by the water tho
Definitely and the swim area is Sandy bottom with a dock too. Very nice for swimming. They Also have a pool you can pay to use but the lake is free...we sit on the dock and watch the geese float by..sit on the shore under the shade trees and its roped off with bouys to let you know there is current past that. Great time. pack a lunch and enjoy the day
Thank you Brian. We will be visiting the Park, and i just wanted to have all the information for my husband.
Not in any cabins we ever stayed in
Yes, and there is also a swimming pool during summer hours
Yes. Central heat and air. And they advised me to turn off central air if I used the fireplace as it would pull the smoke into the cabin.
If you're just talking about a bicycle, no it doesn't need to be tagged. I don't think anything motorized is allowed.
The cabins are located up on a ridge next to the lodge over looking Coon Creek lake. Its a 30 min hike from the cabins to the lake given the route the trails take (much quicker to drive). Alternatively, if you are looking for lodging close to the water, check into the yurts. They are located off of Lake Carlton about a 100 yards.
Yes
We took our grandson a couple years back and it was $50 each for the 40 minute trail.
Give them a call. There are some at the main lake, and one at the horse camp that I'm familiar with
No
We did not use the fireplace so I cannot say for sure. I do believe the cabin office had wood for sale.
There are several small motels in the city of Wilburton which is about 5 miles from park. They have a lodge on site as well as cabins. They recently added yerts right down by the water. They also have primitive sites and will furnish tent camping equipment and everything you need to camp properly. There are also hook up sites for campers Just contact office for details.
Contact them via email.
Yes. There are several locations to use a tent: by the lake, at deep ford, and a couple different places by the main RV locations (up the hill toward the cabins.) It's a GREAT place to camp!
Robber's cave fall festival is Oct 20-22 and Talihina's fall foliage festival is Oct 28
