Short answer is yes as we use the Esopus Creek water for our washpit. It flows to the Ashokan Reservoir which is one of a dozen reservoirs that supply water to NYC which receives its water unfiltered and untreated. For even better drinking water, we have a natural spring nearby that we've been drinking from for over 30 years. It is an amazing spring.
