Awesome place to camp. Great place for star gazing at shell mound.

The woman who supervises the camp is awfully nice. The campground is okay, cheap enough, but the sites are close, no real screen of vegetation between sites. You can even hear the guy snore the next site over, and almost all conversations on any of the sites near you.

If you're out for a fishing weekend, this is the place. Boat ramp at the campground and a trail through the salt marsh to access the water so you can fish from the shore. Take everything you need, as this place is in the boonies... If you are looking for any luxuries, this ain't the place. If you want peace and quiet,(except for the occasional boat engine revving), and to be away from the hustle and bustle, this is it.

Loved the park and the hike. Camp ground was clean and well cared for. But, beware the no-see-ums and mosquitos. Also, it was deer season and there is a cleaning(gutting and skinning) area next to the bathrooms.

Yes there is showers and bathrooms. No laundry. But you can only stay a week at a time. There is a laundromat on the island next to the post office. My favorite campground to visit.
It's not a beach there's quite a bit of mud but a lot of people do swim there. It's perfect for kayaking and canoeing
Pets are welcome. Must be kept under control at all times. Clean up required.
Don't know exactly, but the campground was a great find...nice people, awesome nature...the campground doesnt take reservations, but believe me the price is quite reasonable; however, remember you are in a wildlife refuge...in the summer, I imagine the bugs would be a force to be reckoned with...the campground is first come, first served...one thing to remember, the airboats launch from the ramp in the park & they start about 6 or 6:30 AM!! We just stayed there in December and loved it!! We plan to return😊 Jane Brubaker
Yes they do
Yes you can use a tent there and electric/water sites are $25 a day. Non electric/water sites I believe are about $11. There is a couple of hiking trails and fishing pier.
25$ a night for rv spot water an electric hookup or 10$ a night for a tent spot! Hope this helps!
Cash Only
Yes
You can't reserve campsites but you can always call him before you go and he will tell you if there are spots available
Max stay is 7 days. Must be gone for 14 days after.
It's a county park, but they do not make reservations. Strictly first come. I also wish we could make reservations.
I've only been there in winter. No problem with bugs then.
Camping is limited to 7 days. Also you must be gone for 14 days before returning. The staff keeps excellent records. Pets are allowed if kept under control at all times.
No, but they have a decent, and very clean bathhouse
Check out is around 11am. You can come in during the night and if a spot is available, camp there and pay in the morning time. They have someone there all during the day.
Same as RV rate, $16 last time I was there (January 2019). Good luck finding any camping in Florida cheaper!
Guys name is Steve that takes care of it. Just call him because there's nothing online. As far as I know there isn't any reservation and its cash only
There is a camping area with a bathhouse.
