Great little bait and tackle shop next to the pier. The guy was very nice and helpful. They did not have any live bait at the time we went in so that’s a bummer. We bought frozen bait.

I went on a fishing charter with one of the Rusty Hook recommended charters (In The Slot) and we needed bait half way through our trip. The captain drove to the back side of the bait shop and gentlemen threw us the bait from the back balcony. Pretty awesome experience. If you are on a boat and need bait, just call up the bait shop and they will meet you out back. The shop also has all the tackle and clothing you need inside to hit the fish and stay protected from the sun. Stop on in and support a local business in beautiful Cedar Key, FL.

What does it cost to rent gear to fish on the pier? Rates? Bait prices? Any info would be appreciated!

Hey Andrew rod rentals are $10 dollars for a 24 hour rental. There is a $35 dollar deposit required and you are refunded $25 after the return of the rental.

I'll be coming to CK in the fall and was wondering how deep the water at the city pier is at high tide and low tide. Thanks.

Depending on where you're fishing on the pier. It can range from just a couple feet at low tide up-to the 20 foot range
