I was active in scouts 20 years ago, but Iknow they've made changes recently that could jeopardize both Boy & Girl Scouts. Try calling Southold or Riverhead Police Dept. Southold PD had a few eagle scouts involved w/ local troops.
I know you can play some sports there, including gaga ball but I'm not sure that it's the best place to play basketball. I mean, I'm just a scout , not a leader, so you might want to ask someone irl.

Yes.. Bunches of spiders. Kinda freaked out about the amount that were around.. but I am pretty sensitive to their presence myself
