Rlly loved this park the times I have gone here and brought my dog. They have a small hike trail which is fun for the dogs to have some exercise. The dog owners here are more attentive and responsible to their dogs and pick up after their poop, unlike little bay park. I’ve met some lovely dogs and dog owners as well.

Park is not bad. You have to go outside the gate to get water for dogs. It's not of a big deal but almost all other dog park has fountain inside and this one has outside. Smh.

Plenty of room for my big dog to run around. Pleased to find some grass and not just dirt. Be aware there is a small burial space, so don’t let your dog dig there (or you might end up with something unpleasant).

You can call the police if people are in the dog park outside of the posted hours.
No but you can park at the bandshell about a block up the hill, adjacent to the dog park, past the tennis courts.
NYC parks are for everyone to enjoy. Including those with pets. It is important that dogs have a secure and safe place to exercise, rather then running loose in an open field. I am not sure which rights you are referring to. The city does not have to consult with its citizens about every matter. If that were the case then nothing would ever get built, fixed, or expanded. I welcome you to enter forest park where you will see many improvements that have been made recently, and there are more along the way. With that said if you still have an issue with the dog park I suggest you call or email your city councilperson.
