Keep in mind, this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel, so be realistic about your expectations. That being said, I've only been here this one time and overall, would return if I needed to. Pricing was fair. We ended up with a non-smoking king at the end of a hall-also one of the last few rooms available. Parking is questionable. We stayed while there were a plethora of activities happening, so the lot was super full. We chose to not travel to the store as planned and risk not coming back to a spot. So, go to store before checking in if it's a busy night. Otherwise, you'll definitely be fine. Walmart and sheetz are across the road. Fair warning, the hotel IS pet friendly. We personally don't have an issue with that, except our room was quite gross. The wet dog dander odor was overwhelming. Being on the first floor in the rear, we had a large bay window whose lock was broken off to the "open" position. But, was secured by a single screw in the pane, but still allowed it to open roughly 6 inches. Definitely not safe, but appreciated in our case because the ac was just disgustingly full of animal hair. I personally took the filters out and whopped them clean outside of the window. Between leaving the window open our entire stay and cleaning our their ac, the room became bearable with the odor. Holy cobwebs!! Seriously, it would take housekeeping 15seconds once a week with a broom to get those things down. The popcorn ceiling and low light helps hide the yellow paint slopped on the ceiling, but not those cobwebs full of dust and dander. The side /exterior entrance has a card reader on it, but was pretty pointless considering the doorhandle was literally taped in the "open" position as well. It's convinent to not have to search for the keycard, but completely unsafe feeling for many patrons-who specifically choose a location without direct exterior door access to their rooms. I just kept our door secured and that was that. *Note, I see someone complained about this door 6months ago and management responded they would take care of it....still not done I suppose. The hotel has had some quickie style updates, but overall no complaints. Except for the pool area. Yikes. The painted ceiling above the pool had literally cracked and fallen into the pool over time. The one hole is roughly 4'x4' with more quickly falling. Some guests were super rude about hogging all the towels both for rooms and pool, so thankfully we had brought our own for the pool. Again, it was super busy. There were teens taking up the entire pool area with cannonballs and football. Was pretty rude, plus someone had eaten a apple or chips and thrown up in the pool. When we realized it wasn't a single chunk of food floating around, we got out, plus there was a pile of the food chunks next to the pool, too. The pool windows need uv filtering light screens. That afternoon sun just beams light into the deep side of the pool and makes it miserable. The water was also at least 6" shallow from full and paint was chipping in the pool as well. I liked the ice machine was vending style, but it clearly hasn't been wiped off for a while-actual build-up grunge. Some guy was complaining the vending machines were broken for the chips selection- But cannot confirm. They have the hedges trimmed in the main entrance next to Tony's, but need to trim the next hedge back as well. I literally had to pull into oncoming traffic lane just to see to the right. The front desk manager was super nice. Our toilet clearly needs a new pump. Midway through the evening, the water just completely sucked out of the bowl, then when used and flushed, it filled to the brim and took an hour to suck back down. He came up at midnight to attempt to plunge it, but to no avail. We just tolerated it our entire night and left a note for housekeeping.

Positive: The beds were so comfortable and the rooms were clean. Negative: My key card never worked on the other doors when I went out after 8pm. I always had to go in through the main entrance which was not always convenient to my room. At least I got my workout before going to bed.

Clean roons and location is good. There were no cleaning people there the 2 days I stayed. I had to go to the service desk to get fresh towels and they served me with no problem it took me back to the laundry room and gave me all the towels I needed.

I was blessed to work with smart, kind staff on check-in and check-out. My room was comfortable (clean and warm). While there, I was able to work and relax with technology and television, store food for snacks (effective refrigerator) AND get up on time with a great alarm clock. Only problem: the bathroom door came off the hinges and fell to the floor.

The Best Western in Morgantown WV is truly the worst Best Western hotel in the USA. I've stayed in hundreds of Best Western Hotels.
We are pet friendly! Except for bears, We're not making that mistake again.
Officially (posted), it was 9pm when we were there, but folks were still in there (in the hot tub, though; not in the pool itself) @ 11:15pm when we passed by on our way to our room.
Unfortunately, we do not have a coin operated laundry facility on our property. There are many located within 1 mile of our facility. The closest being millers laundry located on University Avenue.
