Go to Mitchell Lama connect, google it and the directions are there. Also WWW1.nyc.gov. Military do get preference. It took me less than a year to get my studio. Make sure you have your money right when they call because if not someone else will get your apartment.
1199 Housing Corp is a joke. That management office is so screwed up. There's board members some of them are tenants that are behind in rent and never been sent Court papers. That organization is corrupt.
