Yearwood Construction -out of New Rochelle, NY - This contractor is very unprofessional. Hired to do a bathroom renovation work was to be completed for the 2nd floor bathroom by November 20th. Demo exterior wall and tiled areas on 2nd floor bathroom - COMPLETED Open kitchen ceiling under 2nd floor bathroom to gain access to plumbing for tub, sink and toilet - COMPLETED Install all new plumbing for bathroom - COMPLETED; however the plumbing is coming up from the wall and was to be in the wall and eventually the lead pipe for the trapping will leak. Install GFI plug next to vanity - COMPLETED INSTALLATION OF PLUG NO VANITY INSTALLED - Unfortunately, see below to bullet-ed list of outstanding issues: Not Completed to Satisfaction: Insulate exterior wall - While you demolished the wall you did not build up the wall evenly in the bathroom and you stuck the insulation like tissue stuffing. Install wonder board around tub area and areas where tiles were removed, patch remainder of bathroom - While you installed wonderboard in these they are not aligned, were not taped nor did you reconstruct the underlying base wall in order to secure the wonderboard. There is no reinforcement and the boards are flexible, uneven and poorly installed. It was your responsibility to ensure the wall was put back to the appropriate scale in order to install the wonderboard. Tile around tub and all walls where tiles were removed - You installed half a wall of tiles without insuring the tiles were aligned and installed properly. There was a clear dip in the wall due to the wonderboard bending from the weight of the tile because you did not secure the wonderboard to and lattice/ plywood, or undermounting base. Tile bathroom floor - As we discussed you indicated you would remove the original floor, you then said you could lay the tile on top of the existing floor. - You demolished the perimeter of the floor and poured concrete unevenly in the areas you accessed for plumbing., Thus creating added weight. To correctly install polished marble tile, you were supposed to demolish the floor, repair the floorboard because cement and weight would have created deteriotiation - but you choose to not do this and specifically stated to me that an alternate way to address this was to lay marble tile on top of ceramic, again this isn't the correct way to install as I originally stated and created adding weight to the kitchen ceiling. Not Completed: · Tile around tub and all walls where tiles were removed - Not completed · Tile bathroom floor - Not completed · Patch and paint bathroom - Not completed · Install new toilet, vanity, sink and faucet - Not completed, also not completed Install ceiling exhaust fan and new light fixture
