It's a poor excuse for a facility. They trick the people into believing that their addiction was an allergy. They tear you away from your family and the staff flirts with you and keeps you isolated and make you think they are your only family. My wife Chrissy was there and she came home worse than when she went. The elev8 in Newark should be shut down. There is a counselor their name timeke( check spelling) that kept telling her she didn't need to go home and to be with her. Even when she said no she was very persistent. Telling everyone to exchange number and they didn't even finish all 12 steps smh.

My son checked himself into the detox program in Newark facility and unfortunately he was the only white person in there and was immediately harassed by other patients. Someone stole his cigarettes while he slept the first night and no staff would help him resolve the issue. He tried to confront the other patients to get his cigarettes back. He ended up fighting with another patient because of inappropriate racial calling to him and was kicked out. It’s sad because he really was ready to get the help that he needed. I understand there is a no fighting tolerance but there should of been some kind of help to resolve the issue.

Exciting Drama

I went to elev8 of Newark... You will only take what you want to get out of ANY rehab... But this place... THIS PLACE SAVED MY LIFE! From the second you walk in the door in admissions, To the groups, to the staff, to the kitchen, and even the clients. You will not find a better group of people who love you when you can't live yourself. I am FOREVER INDEBTED TO ALL THOSE IN ELEV8. THANK YOU FROM THE VERY BOTTOM OF MY HEART AND SOUL!!🤍🤍🤍 RECOVERY IS REAL, ANDIT'S IN THIS FACILITY IF YOU WANT IT!!!

As soon I stepped in , the lady thought I was I spoiled brat not a person who worked hard for everything , and just because my mother cared a lot about me , meant she read me as someone who needed help , I think she was insecure but I was desperate for help and took it , while she kept insulting me without knowing me , worst place ever , go somewhere else . I went there for help but the treatment was like I was a homeless looking for shelf instead of someone who jus needed help with a problem I can’t control on my own . Also sorry but they under staffed counselors and I needed help for my job and it’s not their fault , but the case managers need better communication . Lunch ladies are not nice except for a few who actually understood that I was going through withdrawal and didn’t eat the first few days and gave me 2nds when I could actually eat , thank you so much . They need overhaul . Nurses are fine but also overworked , not their fault . Please be better because in my opinion , you could do a lot better and you lost a lot of people in the fold that could have truly used the help .
