Yes as far as I know you need to be a member, what was done for me was set up account for myself and son, but had me as deactivated and only a small monthly fee for son. Swimming school on 132(near W.Center) next door to Heartland Conservator of Ballet also.

Yes it's usually about the right temperature. Sometimes in the winter they have heater problems and it's cool or down for mechanical repairs.
The pool is 4 ft. Deep with only 3 lanes so many people walk in it. I'd avoid prime lap swimming times such as 8:00-9 am.

Not officially. Could walk in the gym. Also lots of Silver Sneaker classes for seniors. This senior is in the pool every morning for Aqua Zumba, aquacize, or deep water aquacize.
