The beach and park are free to anyone but no swimming allowed . Parking pass needed summer only . Street parking is ok think 2 hour limit .
can a nassau county/north hempstead bring a guest if they are not members?

Yes, you need proof of residency.
I just went there today only gor beach with kids. I was not allow in because i am not the resident. Guy at the enterence said. Any one knows why ?

It's to reduce crowds. They check to park there. No one is checking ID if you walk in.

Non residents pay a higher fee but you should still be allowed to go in. Hope I could help.
I am nonresident will be staying with family for the summer in port Washington.
can we buy a family pass for the pool including me? can I enter the pool when the rest of the family at work? when is the early bird registration starts?

No, dogs are not allowed. Park security consistently go around the park checking. I believe only service dogs are allowed.
