I'm pretty sure you can still get your license. You would just have to take your driver's test. When your over 18 you don't have to keep your learner's license for that long anyways. You just have to drive a total of 40 hours. They like you to do like 10 -15 hours at night time and the rest daytime driving. Then you can go get your driver's license after you pass the road test.

It took me 10 minutes to do the two parts of the knowledge test. Be well prepared and try the online test first before you go.

I went with my daughters two weeks ago and they only give you a number and then they call you, they move very quickly.

I don't know if there is a best day and time to go. The last time I was there, it was a big crowd and somewhat of a long line. However, the workers there help move things along at a good pace. I took my son to get his learners permit, and I think the entire process took an hour or so. Just be prepared to pack your patience if you go.

It opened at 7:30 this morning and closed at 12. Its closed Sunday and Monday, but opens Tuesday at 7:30 and closes at 6:30 pm

No appointment needed! Just make sure you have all of your documents. I'd bring a utility bill of some kind & your birth certificate or passport and your old driver's license just to have your bases covered. The people that work there are great and you won't be long because they keep plenty of windows open to get you in & out👍🏿

Hello Fred, you must take 2 proof of address, birth certificate, social security card, and your New York license with you. But before you go I recommend that you call your nearest location and make an appointment. Walk- ins are fine, but you might be there longer if you dont have an appointment. Once you make the appointment please ask the person about the online application must be done...or you can do it on their computer when you get there. To move expeditiously it's best to do what need to be done before you go. Good luck!!!! P.S..Due to covid19 most offices are only letting 20 to 25 people in at a time...please wear ur mask, if not you will not be seen.

I was unable to reach them by phone. I went up there Saturday morning at 7:35, and was done renewing my license by 7:52. Before you go fill out the application on the DDS app, it literally takes 1 minute.

It takes up to 30 business days. This does not include saturdays, sundays, and holidays. So if yours was mailed on the 14th, technically you've only been waiting 9 days. I hope this helps.

I think it has to be something like a bill (cable, rent, lights, gas and perhaps a car payment). Essentially they need to see that you stay at that residence all the time and not just sometimes. Please reference full list of supported documents on the website.

I moved here from Florida in march but just changed my license over two weeks ago, i needed a birth certificate, state id or drivers license and a piece of mail with my address which i didn't have so i took a copy of my lease showing my name on it, and received a paper license and the hard copy (license) came in the mail a week later😳

The most common documents needed are one item that shows who you are (certified birth certificate, valid U.S. passport, your expiring I.D. etc) and one item with your social security number on it (W-2 form, paystub, social security card, etc.) and something that shows where you live (utility bill, bank statement, etc.). You should visit the GA Department of Driver Services site online. You will find a full list there including instructions and the application that you should fill out ahead of your visit.

The centers do not have a phone line. On Saturdays the centers that are opened will close at 12 noon.
